Current Government Solution Provider (GSP) positions 

       

·         Most positions are located in the Northern Virginia Area (McLean, Vienna, Herndon, Reston, Oakton, etc).

·         Network Controller positions and Video Controller positions are shift positions with all three shifts needing people;  however, the second and third shifts are needed most of all.

·         GSP pays a 10 percent shift differential for anyone working 2nd or 3rd shift.

Network Controller

US-VA/Reston

This position requires an active US Government Top Secret + Security Clearance.

Job Description:
Network Controller position offers interested, motivated, and aggressive candidates the opportunity for a bright and promising career. This position's duties include: first-level network operations support; use of automated network management tools to perform daily monitoring and control of network managed elements in accordance with established procedures; update and close required trouble tickets; perform dial-up testing on network managed elements. Interaction is required with the technical leaders of the company, commercial and government customers, and other engineers. The ability to work well independently as part of a friendly team-oriented environment is important.

Desired Education:
A (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering, or any related technical degree is preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

Experience/Skills Required:
Experience using Network Operation Center components such as trouble-ticket systems (Remedy), client databases, and routing protocols in wide-area networking (WAN) environment is desired. Experience with UNIX, TCPIP, and Cisco routers is highly desirable. All applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

 

Circuit Design Engineer


US-VA-Reston

Position requires a CURRENT TS+ security clearance.

Job Description:
Engineers telecommunications circuits for voice and data premises distribution systems. Modifies plans of building wiring and wiring interconnections to satisfy requirements for new circuits and changes to existing circuits. Uses computer added design (CAD) tools to prepare engineering drawings of telecommunications circuits for voice and data premises distribution systems. Modifies drawings of building wiring and wiring interconnections to satisfy requirements for new circuits and changes to existing circuits. Skills and experience include:

Knowledge of multiplexers, modems, cable and connector types, and common data interface standards including RS-232, RS-422, and MIL-STD-188.

Familiarity with cryptographic equipment a plus.

Experience using database management systems and spreadsheets.

Experience with AutoCAD or similar packages.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Must have HS Diploma or equivalent, BS in engineering or technical field preferred, equivalent experience accepted

 

Configuration Management Analyst


US-VA-Reston

Job Description:
Position requires 1-3 years experience and CURRENT TS+ security clearance. 

Optimize technical performance in the infrastructure by facilitating a disciplined implementation of network and software changes in order to enhance overall system performance and to enable cost effective production, quality automation, teamwork optimization and change.

Identify and define measurable network elements (including versions, constituent components and relationships) in the system, controlling changes of these items throughout their life cycles, recording and reporting their status and verifying / validating their completeness and correctness.

Establish, implement and maintain a structured methodology (including procedures, organizational definitions and technology) for responding to and recording the history of changes in the client environment in order to maintain network stability.

Perform systems and impact analysis in order to identify, reconcile and resolve conflict between and among disparate network hardware and software changes, facilitate the development of network solutions to these issues.

Provide executive secretarial support to configuration and change management and engineering review boards, including agenda and minute development, impact identification and analysis and resolution facilitation.

 

Network Engineer


US-VA/Reston

Job Description:
All applicants selected will be subject to providing proof of an active government security investigation and must have met eligibility requirements for access to classified information requiring a Top Secret + Clearance. Driving a company car may be required, applicants must be able to provide proof of a valid driver's license and insurance. Candidates must interview with customer and meet their approval in regards to salary and qualifications.

Duties are performed under the supervision of a senior engineer or technical project manager. Assists in the design and implementation of LAN/WANs using hub and router technology. Performs hardware/software analysis to provide comparative data of performance characteristics and suitability within the existing systems environment. Prepares trade-off studies and evaluations for vendor equipment. Assists in generating network monitoring and performance reports for LAN/WAN utilization studies. Recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved system availability and performance. Knowledge includes demonstrated capability in at least one primary network element, such as operating systems, platforms or protocols.

Qualifications-At least 10 years network experience and A BS degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

 

Project Manager

Position requires a CURRENT TS+ security clearance.

Position Responsibilities: (Tasks and activities the employee will be expected to perform)
The Project Manager serves as the project manager for multiple networking projects for small through medium level projects consisting of multiple task orders; serves as the governments? authorized representative for upgrades or new networking projects of local and/or remote domestic locations possibly involving multiple government organizations; works under the direct guidance of government supervision; manages specific task orders and insures that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely and cost effective manner; performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems; plans and supervises multiple projects and/or task orders involving complex networking systems. Project managers may be responsible for 30-50 projects per year with 5-10 active projects at any given time. Required Skills and Experience: (Necessary core competencies, skills, abilities and level of education/experience required to perform the job. Candidates who do not possess each of the required skills will be not considered qualified.)

Experience/Skills Required:
Total progressive networking experience (a) 10 or more years encompassing the support, design, and deployment of simple to complex network solutions. (b) Specialized experience 5 or more years of progressive experience with networking projects from inception to deployment. Project dollar values ranging from $100k to $1M or more. (c) Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, tracking, scheduling, and direction in tasks of varying levels of size and scope of effort, proven expertise in the management and control of funds and resources, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task orders of this type and complexity envisioned for this program.

 

Installation Technician

US-VA/Reston

This position requires an active US Government Top Secret + Security Clearance.

Job Description:
Applicants selected will be subject to providing proof of an active government security investigation and must have met eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Driving a company car may be required, applicants must be able to provide proof of a valid driver's license and insurance.

Perform cable plant installation projects, conduct site surveys, develop materials lists, labor estimates, and roll up pricing. Candidate will also lead and direct installation of telecommunication/network cable subsystems at various locations. This person should be highly focused, be a results-oriented professional with at least five years experience in site surveys and cost estimating. This position also requires strong leadership, organizational and communication skills with a background in materials and budget management. Performs site surveys, provides detailed information to the Project Manager to assist in the preparation of bids and proposals. Candidate must be competent in reading project and work schedules, demonstrate the ability to meet scheduled milestones, including the identification of changes in the work scope, keep Project Manager advised of all significant events that impact successful completion of assigned work schedules (e.g. changes in work scope, notifying PM of need to change work orders, etc.)

A HS diploma or equivalent. An Associates degree in Engineering Technology or RCDD is a plus. Candidate must be PC literate and should have experience in word processing and use of spreadsheet software packages. In addition, candidate must have positive customer relations experience, as well as demonstrated knowledge of EIA/TIA, NEC, IEEE, and OSHA standards. Candidate should also possess manufacturers training such as AMP or ORTRONICS, training in copper and fiber termination and testing.

 

Video Technician

US-VA/Reston

This position requires an active US Government Top Secret + Security Clearance.

Job Description:
2 VTC personnel; one VTC operator/scheduler, and one VTC operator/technician.

Video teleconference operator position will perform VTC scheduling, as well as first tier technical assistance. The duties of the operator will include:

Maintaining VTC schedules, including conference room reservations.

Training on the VTC equipment (how to place calls)

First tier trouble shooting (only for VTC call issues)

Facilitator of test calls

Facilitator of second tier call out, including trouble ticket input

The job duties for the VTC technician include:

Installation and operation of video teleconference equipment

Trouble shooting of LAN based and ISDN based video equipment

Provide customer training on new installations

On-site technical support during video teleconference calls

Test call facilitation

Assistance to project management and project engineering

Experience:
2-4 years working knowledge of VTC systems. Video engineering background a plus. Polycom, PictureTel experience a plus.

Education:
BSET, BSEE
4 years equivalent experience can be substituted.

 

Systems Integrator

 US-VA/Reston

This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret + Security Clearance. Job Description:
Position REQUIRES a minimum of a CURRENT TS + security clearance.

This position requires experience in compiling multiple project schedules and integrating the schedules on MS Project, gathering data from multiple sources and consolidating the information for display or dispersion, scheduling conference rooms and other duties as needed.

Most openings require U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Security Clearance.

 

UNIX Administrator


US-VA-Reston

Job Description:
Position requires a CURRENT TS+ security clearance.

Serves as a network security engineer for a large, complex government network and shall assist the Engineering Manager in working with the Government's authorized representative, the task order-level COTR(s), government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management and administration of the customers Unix environment and security components while insuring that the engineering solutions and schedules in the task order are technically sound. Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems.

Skills and experience include:

Progressive experience in the design, implementation, and administration of secure local area and wide area networks involving the use of Gauntlet Firewalls, Cisco Routers and Switches, cryptographic equipment and other components used in secure environments.

Specific experience in designing firewall architectures from requirements definition to deployment, and demonstrated ability to provide guidance to junior personnel and to interact with senior managers.

The successful candidate must also have a strong working knowledge of the Unix operating system, DNS, SENDMAIL, Perl, C, and Shell scripting.

BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. BA Degree accepted with proof of experience, at least 10 years or more, in telecom installation, maintenance and product management activities, education may be waived.

GSP provides 15 days of both vacation and sick leave herein identified as personal time off (PTO) per year.

GSP provides 8 paid holidays along with one floating day to be used at the employee’s discretion
